Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette Join Robert Pattinson in Director Bong Joon Ho's Next Film

Bong Joon Ho (Parasite, Snowpiercer, The Host) is prepping to shoot his next film project with Robert Pattinson, and he’s just added three new actors to the cast. Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo, and Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker) have joined the project, which is based on the novel Mickey7 written by Edward Ashton.

This will be Joon Ho’s first film since he made Parasite, and he will write, direct, and produce. The novel’s story follows Mickey7, “who is an Expendable: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there’s a mission that’s too dangerous—even suicidal—the crew turns to Mickey. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal…and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.”

The novel has yet to be published, but it’s said the film may end up being different from the novel’s story. Joon Ho is an incredible filmmaker and I have no doubt that he’s going to take this story and turn it into an awesome movie. So far, he’s managed to put together a great cast!

The movie is set up at Warner Bros. and as of right now, there’s no release date.
