Mark Ruffalo Confirms He's in Talks to Appear in Marvel's SHE-HULK Series
Last week a brief logline was shared for Marvel’s upcoming She-Hulk series, and it teased the possible return of the Hulk. It reads:
“Also known as Jennifer Walters, She Hulk is a lawyer, and cousin of Bruce Banner, whose emergency blood transfusion from Bruce empowers her with Hulk-like abilities.”
Mark Ruffalo recently confirmed that at the 2020 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (via Laughing Place), that he is having preliminary talks with Marvel Studios for his potential appearance in Disney+’s upcoming MCU She-Hulk series. If Marvel really wants him to be in the series, I’m confident that they will figure out a way to make it happen.
The last time we saw Hulk was in Avengers: Endgame, and he fused Banner and Hulk together creating Smart Hulk, which is a fun character that would be great to explore further in the MCU.
We also learned last week that Marvel Studios is reportedly looking for an “Alison Brie-type” actress to portray the role of Jennifer Walters with Brie at the top of the studios list. A lot of fans seem to be completely on board for this casting, and it will be interesting to see who eventually ends up landing the role. While appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, ABrie was asked about her thoughts on the casting rumors, and she jokingly hinted that she may be in talks for She-Hulk. So, we’ll see!
Would you like to see Ruffalo’s Hulk show up in She-Hulk? If he does, I wonder how big of a role he will play in the story. I imagine that the role of Hulk would have to be big enough for Ruffalo to want take the time to do the show.
