Mark Ruffalo Had No Idea That He Had Already Been in a Movie With Brie Larson
Entertainment Tonight had some fun with the stars of Avengers: Endgame on the red carpet the other night at the movie’s world premiere, where they got to ask the actors some questions about the movie, and about their lives. While interviewing Mark Ruffalo, the ET reporter asked if he knew that Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) was in 13 Going on 30. The reporter pulled out a photo of Larson in the role of a young teenage “six chick”, one of the cool girls at school. Ruffalo responded by saying:
"She was a mean girl!" laughed Ruffalo. "Oh my God! That's amazing."
Then the reporter told Ruffalo that it was her role in that movie that inspired Larson to want to direct, and he replied:
"Wow, cool, I didn't know that. It looks like her a lot. It’s her. How cool, I didn’t know that! We didn’t work together. That was a lovely little movie."
Ruffalo played the adult version of the best friend of the main character, and it was only in the scenes where they were young that Larson was filmed. I love the movie 13 Going on 30, and have watched it countless times, but my memory had to be jogged to remember that Larson played a small role in the film as well. Watch the clip below (I started the video at the 2:00 mark, as that’s where she comes in.) She’s the tall, popular girl in blue. Do you think she looks different? Had you noticed her in this movie before?
