Mark Ruffalo Hopes That The Hulk and Wolverine Will Eventually Face Off in The MCU

When Marvel Studios gets the rights back to The X-Men it's going to be really interesting to see what they end up doing with those classic mutant characters. There are some many stories to tell! One story that the fans would love to see brought to the big screen is Hulk facing off against Wolverine. That would be epic and Mark Ruffalo agrees. 

Ruffalo hopes to see these two characters in an MCU film one day. In a recent episode of the Marvelists Podcast, the actor was asked about future Thor: Ragnarok style team-ups, and he said: 

"Well, of course, there’s always the Banner-Black Widow combo, which I think is always a good combination. It’d be cool to see — I mean, people talk a lot about Wolverine and Hulk hooking up, I think that would be a really great combo.

"And I love Hugh [Jackman], and it would be cool to do something with him, if he’s up to doing it. He’s always teased Hulk versus Wolverine would be pretty fun."

I doubt that Hugh Jackman would return to the role of Wolverine for this, but Marvel could always hire another actor to take on the role. I'm sure that they plan to give the X-Men a fresh reboot by the time they get to it anyway.
