Mark Ruffalo to Star in a Film About a Lawyer Fighting DuPont

After being “fired” by the Russo Brothers for “spoiling” Avengers 4, Mark Ruffalo has found a new project to work on. Participant Media is making a film based on the New York Times article “The Lawyer Who Became DuPont’s Worst Nightmare” and Ruffalo will be the star.

[The film] will chart the true story of corporate lawyer Robert Bilott, who took on an environmental suit that would upend his career and expose a brazen, decades-long history of chemical pollution. Ruffalo will play Bilott.

Mario Correa is currently revising the screenplay by Matthew Carnahan. Bilott is serving as a consultant for the film which is being directed by Todd Haynes. The untitled film will be produced by Ruffalo, Pamela Koffler, and Christine Vachon with Jonathan King and Jeff Skoll serving as executive producers.

While it may not have an official title, it used to be called Dry Run.
