Mark Ruffalo To Star In HBO Limited Drama Series I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE

HBO is known for putting out successful limited drama series with big-name actors attached, True Detective, Big Little Liars and The Night Of all come to mind.

Now Deadline reports, the premium cable network is developing an eight-episode limited drama series called I Know This Much Is True, which will star Mark Ruffalo who is also an executive producer on the series. 

I Know This Much Is True is based on a popular novel by bestselling author Wally Lamb, which was made extra popular as an Oprah’s Book Club pick that year.

The series is written and directed by filmmaker Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine), and the story is described as an epic family saga about "the parallel lives of twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey", both played by Ruffalo. It's also said to explore the American identity "throughout the latter half of the 20th century."

This marks Ruffalo’s return to HBO where he previously starred in and co-executive produced the movie The Normal Heart, which earned him an Emmy nomination.
