Mark Ruffalo To Star with Chris Hemsworth in Film Adaptation of CRIME 101

Mark Ruffalo is in talks to star alongside his Marvel co-star Chris Hemsworth in Amazon MGM Studios’ adaptation of Don Winslow’s novella Crime 101.

This story is said to have “shades of Heat” as it follows “high-level jewel thefts that are taking place up and down the Pacific Coast, which police have linked to Colombian cartels. Detective Lou Lubesnick has other ideas, and he zeroes in on one perp, a thief looking for a final score.”

The movie will be written and directed by Bart Layton with writing contributions from Peter Straughan.

This sounds like an interesting film project, but I think most audiences will be excited about is seeing Ruffalo and Hemsworth teaming up for a new movie outside of Marvel.

Pedro Pascal was linked to the project last year to star with Hemsworth, but it didn’t move forward while he was on board.

Ruffalo is currently filming the HBO limited series Task from Mare Of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby. He will next be seen in Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17 opposite Robert Pattinson and in Cooper Raif’s series Hal & Harper.
