Mark Ruffalo Wants to Make a Professor Hulk Movie, Maybe With Wolverine

Mark Ruffalo has another Hulk story that he’d like to tell. He’s already shared his desire for a Hulk vs. Wolverine movie and a series that focuses on Hulk on the Run. Now, he wants to make a Professor Hulk movie! During a panel at Chicago’s C2E2, the actor explained what he’d like to see with this concept and how he’d maybe like to include Wolverine.

“To be totally honest with you, I want to see the movie where Banner and Hulk ultimately have to battle it out and then the Professor is sort of the brainchild of that. Kevin Feige, are you listening? We want Professor Hulk. The only person in the universe that Hulk is afraid of is Banner and I want to see the ultimate showdown between the two of them. And maybe Wolverine."

There’s no doubt that Marvel fans would love to see this story arc play out! We’ve all been waiting for the Banner and Hulk showdown, so it’s been a long time coming. That is a story that has to be explored because it’s a great one! Ruffalo was then asked what it was like to merge the characters of Banner and Hulk, and Ruffalo revealed they'd been plotting out Banner’s story in that for awhile:

“A few years ago we sat down and kind of plotted out what the Banner/Hulk/Professor arc would be and we pretty much stuck to it starting with Age of Ultron and then ending with Endgame. It was fun… I’ve been lucky because the arc of Banner and Hulk over all the films has been pretty different. I’ve gotten to play three characters now. I’ve kept it interesting for myself as an ADHD casualty. It’s pretty much exactly how we planned it to be. It’s been a lot of fun to do it, and melding two characters together seemed to be the kind of final installment of the Banner/Hulk relationship. They made peace with each other.”
