Mark Strong Joins the Apple TV+ Series NEUROMANCER

Mark Strong (Dune: Prophecy, The Penguin) has joined the cast of Aoole TV+’s drama series Neuromancer alongside Callum Turner and Briana Middleton.

Neuromancer follows “a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly (Middleton), a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

Strong will take on the role of Armitage, Case and Molly’s mysterious employer. He is the “enigmatic figure who hires Case for the mission. Former military and mysterious in nature, he brings a sense of gravitas and intrigue to the story."

In addition to Turner and Middleton, he joins previously cast Joseph Lee who plays Hideo, a professional bodyguard.

Case is “a skilled hacker with a troubled past. His expertise in the technological underground makes him the perfect candidate for the mission, but his journey is fraught with danger and uncertainty."

Molly is “a formidable mercenary known for her ruthlessness and combat skills. Operating in the physical realm, she serves as Case's protector and ally on his mission."

The 10-episode series is based on the novel of the same name by William Gibson and the series was created for television by Graham Roland and JD Dillard.

The description of the first book reads: “The Matrix is a world within the world, a global consensus-hallucination, the representation of every byte of data in cyberspace...

“Henry Dorsett Case was the sharpest data-thief in the business, until vengeful former employees crippled his nervous system. But now a new and very mysterious employer recruits him for a last-chance run.

“The target: an unthinkably powerful artificial intelligence orbiting Earth in service of the sinister Tessier-Ashpool business clan. With a dead man riding shotgun and Molly, mirror-eyed street-samurai, to watch his back, Case embarks on an adventure that ups the ante on an entire genre of fiction.”

Mark Strong will make a great addition to the cast.
