Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs Join The New Animated Scooby-Doo Movie SCOOB
The new animated Scooby-Doo movie being developed by Warner Bros. Animation, Scoob, has enlisted Mark Whalberg and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows actor Jason Isaacs to voice a couple of character in the project.
Wahlberg is set to play the Blue Falcon, “a superhero from the Hanna-Barbera canon who teamed up with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang to fight against one of his arch-enemies, Mr. Hyde.” Blue Falcon’s right sidekick is Dynomutt and he will be voiced by comedian Ken Jeong.
Isaacs will play the mustache twirling villain, Dick Dastardly, who is said to be the main baddie of Scoob. “Dick is a duplicitous car racer and pilot whose vehicles are known to carry various bombs and traps.” He also has a sidekick, a dog named Muttley. Dick has been a part of the Hanna-Barbera shows Wacky Races and the spin-off Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines. His famous catchphrases include “Drat, Drat and Double Drat!”, “Triple Drat!” and “Muttley, do something!”.
The movie will follow the Mystery Inc. gang as they “join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans...and this time, we are told, the threat is real.”
The film comes from director Tony Cervone and the actors will join the previously cast Zac Efron (Fred), Amanda Seyfried (Daphne), Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy), Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman), Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo) and Kiersey Clemons (Dee Dee Skyes).
What do you think about Wahlberg and Issacs joining the cast of Scoob and the characters they’ll be playing?
