Maroni Family and Tony Zucco Confirmed for DC's TITANS
We still don’t know too much about the villains we’ll see in DC’s upcoming series Titans for their upcoming streaming platform, but we have learned that Tony Zucco and the Maroni crime family will be making appearances.
Zucco is the man responsible for the death of Dick Grayson’s parents which leads to Bruce Wayne adopting him and raising him as Robin. Zucco’s details have changed in various stories, but it looks like Titans may be pulling from the Batman: Dark Victory storyline where he is a low-level thug for Maroni. I’m going to guess that we have an episode or two of Robin confronting Zucco such as in Batman: The Animated Series. However, we don’t know how prevalent the mob families of Gotham like the Maroni’s will be in the series. It’s possible that during season one they’re the main bad guys, or it could be that they are very minor. How do you want to see the Maroni’s used?
No exact launch date has been given to DC's streaming platform, but it is supposed to be out this winter and many are assuming that Titans will premiere with the service.
