Martin Starr Joins The Growing Cast of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING
Here's some news that Martin Starr's young Freaks and Geeks character Bill Haverchuck would probably lose his mind over: according to Deadline, Starr has been cast in the upcoming superhero movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.
There's no word yet on which character he'll play, but he joins Donald Glover and Logan Marshall-Green as actors added to the cast just this week. Homecoming will star Tom Holland as the young web-slinger, Michael Keaton as The Vulture, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Zendaya, Tony Revolori, and Michael Barbieri as Peter Parker's classmates.
Jon Watts (Cop Car, Clown) is directing, and the movie is set for a July 7, 2017 release. Right now, you can watch Starr on Sunday nights killing it in the hilarious HBO comedy Silicon Valley. Who do you think he'll end up playing in this movie? Some kind of teacher/professor/principal, or an actual Marvel character from the comics with some real lore and history the fans will recognize?
