Marvel and Sony Are Actively Developing the Next Spider-Man Film

It’s safe to say that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are going to continue to enjoy a long working relationship with each other when it comes to Spider-Man, especially after the epic success of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Well, franchise producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige have confirmed that the two studios are "actively" developing the next Spider-Man movie!

This bit of news is sure to get fans super excited, especially after how the story for No Way Home played out! Don’t worry, I won’t spoil it for you if you haven’t seen it, like every other freakin’ website on the internet.

Pascal recently shared that Sony and Marvel will be developing three more Spider-Man films together on top of the one other MCU film that Spider-Man is going to show up in. Now in a recent interview with The New York Times, she said:

"We're producers, so we always believe everything will work out. I love working with Kevin. We have a great partnership, along with Tom Rothman, who runs Sony and has been instrumental, a great leader with great ideas. I hope it lasts forever."

Feige went on to add:

"Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about — yes, we're actively beginning to develop where the story heads next, which I only say outright because I don't want fans to go through any separation trauma like what happened after Far From Home. That will not be occurring this time."

As for the future MCU movie that Spider-Man will show up in, Feige said:

"He's going to show up sometime. The when and the where, of course, is the fun part — and the part that we don't talk about."

Pascal went on to discuss how No Way Home will effect how play with the character in the future:

"At the end of the movie we just made [No Way Home], you see Spider-Man make a momentous decision, one that you've never seen him make before. It's a sacrifice. And that gives us a lot to work with for the next film."

The next film could be anything from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to Fantastic 4 to the next Avengers film. But, it will happen. It’s just exciting to see that Sony and Marvel are still excited to continue working with each other. I can’t wait to see what comes of it in the future.
