Marvel Announces New Disney+ Shows SECRET INVASION, IRONHEART, ARMOR WARS, I AM GROOT, and SHE-HULK Casting
Kevin Feige has just announced a crazy exciting line-up of new shows coming to Disney+! Seriously… holy shit! This is insane and exciting and since I’ve been writing up so much Marvel and Star Wars news today, I’m feeling insanely overwhelmed!
The new shows that have been announced include Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Armor Wars, and I Am Groot. They also confirm casting for the She-Hulk series, which includes Tatiana Maslany confirmed to star as She-Hulk, and Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth!
Samuel L. Jackson is back as Nick Fury in Secret Invasion, which Feige says will be the most significant crossover event since Civil War in Marvel Comics. Jackson will be joined by Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull character Talos, who was introduced in Captain Marvel.
Ironheart is a series we knew was in the works, but now it’s confirmed. The series will follow Riri Williams, a young genius girl who creates an advanced badass suit of armor much like Tony Stark did.
Don Cheadle is reprising his role of Jim Rhodes, a.k.a. War Machine, in Armor Wars, the story of which will focus on what happens when Stark’s advanced technology falls into the wrong hands. I guess it was bound to happen.
I Am Groot is a series of shorts that will introduce fans to several new and unusual characters. The show will star Baby Groot.
Tatiana Maslany is confirmed to star in She-Hulk, which will also include Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo, and Tim Roth will be reprising his role as Abomination, the villainous character he played in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk!
