Marvel's New Title MEET THE SKRULLS to Be Released Alongside CAPTAIN MARVEL
Marvel made an interesting announcement on Twitter last Friday. First they tweeted an image of a lovely, normal family with the caption, "Meet the Warners." Then they tweeted a gif of that family morphing into Skrulls. That one comes with the caption, "Meet the Skrulls," and the information that this is a new title from Robbie Thompson and Niko Henrichon with a cover by Marcos Martin. It is set to be released in March 2019. You know what else comes out in March 2019? Captain Marvel, a movie that we know the Skrulls will play a big part in. This seems to be more of a case of striking while the Skrulls are hot than an actual movie tie-in, but it could be interesting. Rainbow Rowell, who is writing the current run of The Runaways, tweeted that she has read the first issue of Meet the Skrulls and called it "good and interesting" and a "new [idea] set in the Marvel universe." Color me intrigued.
