Marvel Comics Releases Trailer for Next Event Series AVENGERS: NO SURRENDER

Marvel Comics has done a lot recently. I mean, I just finished up Secret Empire and loved it, and it looks like Marvel has already moved on to their next big event series called Avengers: No Surrender.

How do I feel about this? Um... fine? Very little is known about No Surrender, but this trailer tries to show you that this one is the one that matters. It's a solid trailer. Great images, interviews with creators, epic music, and introductions to a brand new Avenger who we've never heard of. All of these things are meant to entice us.

Will I read it? Yeah. Probably. Does that make it sound any more epic? Not really. I mean, Avengers are always fighting the worst thing ever, and what makes this time any different? The world has literally ended and recreated before.

I want to be excited, and there is one thing that is said that does excite me. The promise of some well-crafted imagery in the comics is that one thing. In the trailer, they talk about how they can do more than what movies can do because they don't have budgetary limits.

It could be pretty cool. U.S.Avengers, Avengers, and Uncanny Avengers all teaming up to fight Thanos's minions is pretty cool. And the new Avenger Voyager is very... gold. So there's that.

“Co-written by Mark Waid, Al Ewing and Jim Zub with art by Pepe Larraz, Kim Jacinto and Paco Medina, AVENGERS: NO SURRENDER unites the casts and creative teams of three titles into one weekly book of exciting action. It all starts with AVENGERS #675 this January, when the teams of THE AVENGERS, UNCANNY AVENGERS, and U.S. AVENGERS come together in a story as exciting and powerful as the Marvel Universe itself.”
