Marvel Comics Releasing the Final Issues for 6 Long-Cancelled Series

Sometimes, comics just don't connect with their readers. Sometimes, stories in comics just get old. Whatever reason it may be, the sad fact is, some comics get canceled. But Marvel wants to try to give justice to some of these comics that were canceled before they got a chance to truly end as part of their Marvel Legacy.

Marvel will be releasing six comics that are intended to play the part as a final issue for their respected series. They were all canceled at different times, some as far back as 1969, and others as recent as 1995. Some make complete sense and are interesting choices, while others I feel are just meant to be jokes.

The series being released a final issue are Not Brand Echh, Silver Sable and the Wild Pack, Dazzler, Power Pack, Masters of Kung Fu, Darkhawk. What will be really interesting is seeing if the series will give a solid final issue that doesn't leave threads hanging for a sequel, or if it will. Some of these series have had their characters have other incarnations appear since their cancellation, so seeing how they go, and if it will lead to where they are now or try to pitch a sequel series will be cool to see.

One that has me interested most, (besides Dazzler) is Not Brand Echh. It was mostly a joke series with joke characters, one of the most famous being Forbush Man. Many have questioned if any of it takes place in our universe or any Marvel universe for that matter. I hope it hints at a return at least for NextWave... The coolest, most badass comic series of all time. It made mention of the Not Brand Echh, so I'd love to see them make some sort of cameo. Marvel certainly is trying a lot of new things. Even if new is looking back at the old.
