Marvel Comics Reveals the Official New Logo for THE PUNISHER
I’ve been hearing that Marvel Comics was going to be changing up the logo for the classic vigilante character The Punisher, and they finally did it. The new logo will be introduced in a 13-issue series titled Punisher, which comes from writer Jason Aaron.
In the story, “Frank Castle is recruited by the Hand to serve their demonic master known as the Beast, thanks to his unparalleled skills at murder.” When Frank joins the Hand, he ends up getting new logo, along with some new armor, and he even gets a sword.
You can check out the new logo in the preview art that was shared below:
Aaron said in a statement, "After writing the Punisher over the years, I've always been fascinated by the character of Frank Castle. What moments made him the Punisher, even before that fateful day in the park? And how far will he go to win the war that has consumed his life? Spoiler: as far as it damn well takes."
Frank Castle will earn himself the title of “King of Killers” in the story, and Aaron went on to say, "This story is the destined next step in the dark and tragic evolution of Frank Castle, from troubled kid to heroic soldier to revenge-driven vigilante…to the duly anointed King of Killers. Believe me when I say, I am as excited about this story as anything I’ve ever written for Marvel.”
Marvel editor-in-chief CB Cebulski then promised that the series will introduce a "side of Punisher we've never seen before," which represents Punisher's "inevitable evolution." We don’t exactly know what that means, but we’ll find out.
Punisher #1 goes on sale in March 2022.
