Marvel Confirms the Fate of Each of the Infinity Stones in the MCU
In the final chapter of the MCU’s Infinity Saga, Avengers: Endgame, Thanos was defeated, and thanks to a little time travel, his actions were undone. We had some major sacrifices, but the world was restored. After going back in time to retrieve the Infinity stones and complete the mission, Captain America took on the task of traveling back in a solo mission to replace the stones, thus completing the whole cycle.
Some fans wanted to know for sure though that the stones’ ultimate fate was their being destroyed by Thanos as we learned in the film. As film and comic fans know, any disturbance to the past can have a lasting impact on the future. So while we knew things got taken care of, and we saw Cap come back at the end of the film, we never did see the stones destroyed the second time around, so some just wanted an absolute period at the end of that part of the story.
Marvel has now provided that closure in an Instagram post that they’ve released, promoting the Infinity Saga streaming on Disney+. Check out the interactive post below, and rest easy knowing the mission is complete.
