Marvel Fan Points Out Awesome ANT-MAN Foreshadowing of AVENGERS: ENDGAME
In a recent Reddit post on the Marvel subreddit page, a fan by the name of GloriousQuint pointed out a fun piece of dialogue from the first Ant-Man film from 2015 that foreshadows the events of Avengers: Endgame. The scene is the one in which Yellowjacket/Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) says to Ant-Man/Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), “Did you think you could stop the future with a heist?” and Lang replies, “It was never just a heist.”
That sounds pretty familiar! It was Scott Lang’s idea for the whole time traveling heist in Avengers: Endgame. He was low-key one of the main reasons everything worked out. Without the work and smarts of Lang and Tony Stark, the movie wouldn’t have played out the way it did. So it’s cool to be able to go back and see little Easter eggs that point out the future of the story arc all the way though the first phases of the MCU.
