Marvel Has Officially Started Developing CAPTAIN MARVEL 2
We all knew that Marvel Studios would be developing a sequel to Captain Marvel, but Deadline is reporting that the studio has officially started production on Captain Marvel 2.
Brie Larson will return to reprise her role as Carol Danvers’ who is said to be the most powerful character to be introduced into the MCU. While Captain Marvel is a badass character, a lot of fans don’t really care for Larson’s portrayal of the character.
According to the report, the sequel has a new screenwriter and it will be written by Megan McDonnell, who is part of the writing team for the upcoming Disney+ MCU series WandaVision. The original film was written by directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck along with Geneva Robertson-Dworet. There’s no word on if Boden and Fleck will return to direct the film.
There’s no information on what the story will entail, but the last time we saw the character she was in an epic battle against Thanos and his army. I’m curious to see what Marvel is looking to do with Captain Marvel 2, but I’m sure that this time the story will be fully set in the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe.
