Marvel Has Started Shooting ANT-MAN AND THE WASP and We Have an Announcement Video
Marvel Studios has released an amusing little video announcing that director Peyton Reed has started production on Ant-Man and The Wasp! We also have a new logo for the film that you can check out above.
I'm really excited about this sequel. I loved the first film and it'll be fun to see where this next chapter of the story takes the characters. We don't really have any heavy plot details yet, but as long as it's as fun as the first movie, I'll be happy.
The movie has a wonderful cast that consists of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lily as Hope Pym, Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, Michael Pena as Luis, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, T.I. as Dave, Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo, Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost, and Walton Goggins. It was also recently announced that Michelle Pfeiffer is playing Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Hank Pym and the original Wasp and Laurence Fishburne, who is playing Dr. Bill Foster, who was an assistant to both Tony Stark and Hank Pym in the comics. He eventually takes on Pym’s Giant Man abilities and becomes a superhero known as Goliath.
Here's the vague plot synospis that was released:
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: “Ant-Man and The Wasp.” In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
Ant-Man and The Wasp is set to be released on July 6th, 2018.
