Marvel is Launching a New Multiplatform Program Called MARVEL SUPER HERO ADVENTURES For Preschoolers

Marvel Entertainment is targeting a very young target market with a new multiplatform program called Marvel Super Hero Adventures. This whole new project will revolve around an animated series "intended to introduce the Marvel Universe of heroes and villains to a preschool audience."

I wish Marvel would have had something like this when I was raising my kids! They probably would've loved it. Now you can all get your kids hooked on the Marvel brand while they are still very early in their life journey.

According to THR, this is a short-form animated series will begin this fall, "with each three-and-a-half-minute episode teaming Spider-Man with another Marvel hero to teach the benefits of friendship, co-operation and heroism. Characters set to appear in the first 10-episode run include Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther and Ms. Marvel."

The animated series will be accompanied by a series of early reader chapter books which will launch this month with Deck the Malls!, which will feature "a team-up between Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen — the Gwen Stacy of an alternate reality, who also has spider powers." That will be followed by three additional chapter books that are scheduled for the initial wave of the campaign, which continues through 2018.

On top of that, Marvel will launch a line of merchandise for Super Hero Adventures next month in October during an event called "Marvel Mania," which is a "coordinated push of the Marvel brand among retailers."

Marvel licensing senior vice president Paul Gitter talked about this new preschool program they are launching saying

"Marvel storytelling and characters engage parents and fans around the world, and now preschoolers have the chance to experience the fun and excitement of the Marvel Universe. Marvel is a brand for fans of all ages but particularly by preschoolers and trusted with preschool parents. Since our characters are inspiring, heroic, responsible and brave, the new products are the perfect way for preschoolers to celebrate their passion for Marvel in their daily lives."

Marvel Entertainment president Dan Buckley added:

"We are delighted to bring Marvel Super Hero Adventures to life across multiple divisions of Marvel Entertainment. The program and content that the teams have developed is smart, inspiring and will reach a whole new generation of Marvel fans."

The launch date and platforms that the animated series will appear on have yet to be announced, but I'd say YouTube is a safe bet. This sounds like it could be big for Marvel and there's no doubt that Marvel fans with young kids are going to love it.
