Marvel May Be Looking At These Four Directors For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3

Last week a rumor surfaced regarding Marvel Studios looking to hire a female director to replace James Gunn as the director on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Now, today we have a report that there are four female directors currently in the running.

According to SuperBroMovies, those directors include Dee Rees (Mudbound), Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones), S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders, Jessica Jones) and Jane Campion (The Piano).

Now, while these directors are all talented directors, it doesn’t look like any of them have that much experience in comedy, which the Guardians franchise is filled with. But, out of these four directors MacLaren and Clarkson may be the best bets.

This is all just a rumor at the moment, but if these women are actually being considered for the job, it doesn’t mean that they will get the gig. There are most likely a lot of other directors in the running.

With these Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director rumors starting to ramp up, I’m sure that we’ll start seeing more names start to pop up on the internet in the coming weeks and months.
