Marvel President Kevin Feige Teases the Return of Scarlet Witch in the MCU
During Disney’s D23 Expo some news sites started reporting that Marvel announced a new Scarlet Witch solo film project. That project was never really actually announced, and the sites quickly removed those posts. It seems like those were pre-written articles to post just in case Marvel did announce that project.
Did those sites hear something before Marvel’s presentation or were they just trying to be prepared? Either way, they jumped the gun. But, fans have been wondering if we will see Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch again after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and judging from what Kevin Feige said in a recent interview, we can bet on it.
While talking to Variety about a potential Scarlet Witch movie and working with Olsen, Feige said, "She's incredibly humble and incredibly down-to-earth. And yet when those cameras roll, it's a force of nature." In regards to the status of Wanda, he said, "There really is so much more to explore. We still haven't touched on many of her core storylines from the comics."
Feige also went on to address how we saw Wanda crushed under the falling Wundagore Mountain, and makes sure to point out that we never saw about body, "I don't know that we saw her under rubble? I saw a tower coming down, and a little red flash. I don't know what that means."
He went on to add, "I'd work with Lizzie for another 100 years if we could. Anything's possible in the multiverse! We'll have to see."
I’m pretty confident that we’ll see Scarlet Witch again, I just have no idea when and where that will happen. I love this character and I’m excited to eventually see her story continue. As Feige said, there’s so much to explore!
