Marvel President Says The Studio Has the Next Five Years of MCU Movies and Disney+ Series Planned Out
We all know that Marvel has a lot of plans in the works, lots of things that have been revealed to fans, as well as much more that has not. The studio heads have long-term plans that are ever-evolving and being changed to fit the world they’ve created. In a recent interview with Collider at the WandaVision press event, Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige pulled back the curtain a bit, revealing how far in advance the studio has planned, saying:
“To varying degrees of specificity, it’s always about 5 to 6 years out versus what we’ve announced. So whatever that takes us to.”
Marvel has given us names and dates for projects in Phase 4 as far as Christmas 2022, and Phase 5 will pick up in 2023, but we don’t know anything beyond that. It’s good to know that Marvel does though! It’s been said that the studio had planned out the films Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019) way back in 2014, so this must be a good formula.
They also asked Feige if the studio had planned out how they’re bringing Mutants to the MCU. He replied:
“It has been heavily discussed, as you might imagine. And we have a good feeling of where it’s going and when it’s going, but that all remains to be seen.”
Keep your secrets, Feige. Just make your movies, and I will show up to watch them. I can hardly wait for WandaVision to hit Disney+ this Friday and crack open the multiverse as promised. Are you hoping for anything in particular to come to Phase 5 that we haven’t heard about yet?
