Marvel Producer Explains Why We Won't Ever See THE AVENGERS Assemble in a TV Series

The MCU is full of fun film and TV projects. Some of the best movies that have been made by Marvel Studios are the Avengers films, which find Earth’s Mightiest Heroes assembling to combat the biggest threats to the universe.

These are the tentpole movies that bring the superheroes together for the biggest, wildest adventures, and because they don’t happen very often, it seems like to some, it would be cool to see them weekly in a series.

But that won’t ever happen, and Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum has a pretty solid reason why.

During a recent interview with CinemaBlend, he explained: “I think the Avengers are about, there came a day when Earth's Mightiest Heroes had to assemble.

“In a feature film, which is a statement piece, it makes sense that there's an event that galvanizes them all. I think that on a long-form television show, it becomes more of a challenge to have, ‘There came a day’ every day. In the comics, you can do it.

“It's the Marvel universe, and there's just spectacular things happening all the time. Yeah. But if you read the comics, you know that the Avengers really assemble so that they can disassemble, and then assemble again, and then disassemble again. Is it possible? Yes.

“But from a narrative point of view, it becomes like ascension and descension, which … it could be really interesting for a long-form story. But it would be a very unique pattern for a television show.”

He has a good point. It would be less special and possibly more monotonous to see them do their thing over and over. It’s cool to be able to build up to the major events in the Marvel timeline and see the Avengers reunite to take on their biggest adversary yet.
