Marvel Reportedly Has Had No Conversations About Dropping Jonathan Majors as His Talent Manager Drops Him
As you’ve heard, Jonathan Majors is in the middle of a crazy situation as he has been charged with multiple counts of harassment and assault involving a domestic dispute with a 30-year old woman in New York City. The attorney representing the actor says that he is "completely innocent" of charges and they are collecting all the proof they need to clear him of the charges.
In the meantime, things are falling apart for Majors, and in a recent report, it’s said that his talent manager Entertainment 360 has now dropped him. Deadline notes that the departure was “due to issues surrounding the actor’s personal behavior.” Majors was also already dropped from the PR firm The Lede Company last month.
With all of this going on, fans have been wondering what Marvel Studios is going to do. Due to the fact that they’ve built the next five years of MCU films around Majors, who plays Kang, you’d think they’d be really sweating it right now because they have so much invested in the actor. Well, according to the report, “there’s been zero conversations in the Marvel camp to drop Majors from the MCU.”
So while everyone else involved with Majors is dropping him, it seems like Marvel and Disney are going to stand by him… for now. I guess it all depends on what happens when he goes to court. Hollywood has gone all in with Majors, and I have no doubt that the “Hollywood fixers” are trying their hardest to make this all go away.
I can’t just help but wonder what Marvel would do if things did play out unexpectedly and they did end up dropping Majors over this. It seems like a big deal, so you’d think Marvel would be discussing backup plans!
Majors’ attorney previously said in a statement: “Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”
The attorney also released a set of text messages to the press, which really didn’t do Majors any favors. The woman took the blame for the fight. The text messages read: “Please let me know you’re okay when you get this. They assured me that you won’t be charged. They said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight. I’m so angry that they did. And I’m sorry you’re in this position. Will make sure nothing happens about this. I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone. I only just got out of hospital. Just call me when you’re out. I love you.”
So, she caused him to assault her when she took his phone? Yeah, that doesn’t sound good. Not sure why his attorney would release those messages because they do more harm than good.
