Marvel Reunion Teased For The Oscars Has Fans Wondering if a Proper AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Trailer Is Coming
The Oscars 2026 might end up feeling like a mini Marvel event. A tease from the show’s producers has MCU fans paying very close attention to what could happen on stage at the Dolby Theatre, and some are wondering if it might lead to the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday.
During a press conference previewing the upcoming ceremony, Oscars executive producer Katy Mullan revealed that Marvel fans should keep their eyes on the show for something special. Exactly what that surprise looks like remains a mystery, but the tease was enough to spark a lot of speculation online.
Mullan said, “There’s also going to be a Marvel reunion for the superhero fans. So we’re gonna have superstar superheroes, and there is also going to be an extraterrestrial on the stage. So you can figure that one out.”
That comment sent Marvel fans into theory mode. A “Marvel reunion” could mean a lot of things. It might simply be a group of actors from the MCU appearing together to present an award. But with Avengers: Doomsday arriving later this year, fans are wondering if something bigger is in the cards.
Some people immediately jumped to the idea that Marvel Studios could debut a new trailer during the ceremony. One fan wrote, “What if they introduce the Doomsday trailer?”
Another added, “Hope this means an incoming trailer soon. We need a trailer.”
Right now, Marvel has only released a handful of short teasers for the upcoming film. Each one focuses on different corners of the Marvel universe. One clip highlights the return of Steve Rogers, another features Thor. Then there’s the X-Men teaser and a third moment teases Wakanda encountering the Fantastic Four.
Those glimpses have helped establish where some of these heroes are since fans last saw them, but they haven’t revealed much about the actual story driving Doomsday. That’s why many viewers want a proper full trailer.
If Marvel is planning something major at the Oscars, the timing would make sense. Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be the MCU’s biggest crossover since Avengers: Endgame, bringing together a massive roster of characters and actors.
The film’s lineup includes Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Florence Pugh, and a super long list of additional Marvel heroes.
Whether the Oscars moment is just a fun onstage reunion or a launchpad for new footage remains to be seen. Either way, MCU fans will probably be watching.
The Oscars 2026 takes place on March 15. Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18. If Marvel is planning to kick off the marketing campaign in a big way, Hollywood’s biggest night could be the place to do it.
