Marvel Studios Has Met with Over 65 Directors For Their BLACK WIDOW Movie

Last week we learned of three female directors that Marvel Studios has met with to take on their Black Widow movie. We've now learned from Variety film reporter Justin Kroll that's just the tip of the iceberg. He says that the studio has met with over 65 different directors so far!

That's a lot of directors! After such a far and wide search, it will be interesting to see who they end up hiring. The only three names that we know of are the three previously mentioned, which include Deniz Gamze Erguven (the Turkish movie Mustang), Chloe Zhao (The Rider), and Amma Asante (A United Kingdom). Marvel has always done a great job choosing directors for their projects, so whoever they bring on will end up being the right choice.

As for what story the film will tell, it was recently reported that the movie might be a prequel story and it would involve Black Widow and The Winter Soldier.

"The film will find Natasha living in the United States 15 years after the fall of the Soviet Union! That timeline places the film firmly in the mid-2000s, meaning we'll meet up with Nat prior to the events of Iron Man 2. That time frame opens up plenty of options, and while many fans seem to want a Black Widow/Hawkeye team up in Budapest, we've been told that early discussions about the film involved Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier."

That's just a rumor at the moment, but one that I hope turns out to be true. I'd like to see what kind of story they would make with these two characters.

Out of all the directors out there, is there anyone that you'd like to see direct Black Widow?
