Marvel Studios Hires JOHN WICK Creator Derek Kolstad as a Writer on FALCON & WINTER SOLDIER
Marvel Studios has hired John Wick creator Derek Kolstad as a writer on the Disney+ limited series Falcon & Winter Soldier. I guess that means we can expect some super awesome and badass action in this series!
There’s not much known about this series, but we do know that Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will be back to reprise their big-screen roles as Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon and Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier. Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl are also currently in talks reprise their roles as Sharon Carter and Helmut Zemo in the series.
According to The Wrap, the series will likely focus on Sam Wilson as he takes on the mantle of Captain America. As you already know, an elderly Steve Rogers passed the Shield off to Wilson at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
It was also previously reported that Feige and his creative team “plan to dig deeper into the characters by doing 'things shockingly and unexpectedly that change those characters in big ways, so the next appearance on the big screen will be informed by what they’ve gone through in Disney+ series."
Kari Skogland is going to direct the six-part miniseries, which will premiere on Disney+ in August 2020.
