Marvel Studios Hires Writers For FANTASTIC FOUR

Marvel Studios has hired Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer to write the script for director Matt Shakman’s highly anticipated Fantastic Four. Apparently, the writers have been attached to the project for a while, before Shakman even came on board.

It’s explained that Kevin Feige and Shakman are currently focusing on finding actors to play the lead roles in the film. Kaplan and Springer are said to be an upcoming screenwriting team and recently worked on a comedy project for Warner Bros. titled Disaster Wedding.

As for Fantastic Four, we know nothing about it or what Marvel is thinking in terms of story, but it’s one of the most highly-anticipated projects coming from Marvel.

Marvel is entering an interesting phase. During the time of those first three phases that started with Iron Man and ended with Avengers: Endgame, they were consistently making great films. Sure there were a couple of duds, but for the most part, it was a golden time for Marvel movies.

But, now it seems like they might be losing their touch. They are just developing so much stuff now, it seems like they are focusing on quantity over quality. Regardless, I hope that this Fantastic Four movie turns out great! It would be a shame if Marvel screwed it up after all of the fans have been waiting to see what Marvel would do with it.

Fantastic Four hits theaters on November 4th, 2024.
