Marvel Studios President Keven Feige Says WHAT IF...? May "Spin Into Other Mediums"

The first season of Marvel’s What If..? series was a lot fun to watch. The episodes got mixed reactions from fans, but in the end Kevin Feige was very happy with how the series turned out. He thinks that these shows feature some of the best storytelling that they’ve done and he is looking to expand on it in other mediums.

In the latest episode of Marvel's behind the scenes series Marvel Studios: Assembled they take a look at the making of What If...?, and during the interviews Feige shared the following:

"I really believe the deepening fictional mythologies is a way to appreciate them more, is a way to understand them more, look at them in a different way. They've got now two seasons of What If...? ideas underway that's some of the best storytelling we've ever had that you may see spin into other mediums. It's really the most uniquely beautiful animated series I've seen in a long time."

That statement has a lot of fans believing that “other mediums” means that these stories are going to get the live-action treatment. But, other mediums could also mean books, comics, and video games. So, we’ll just have to wait and see what he’s actually thinking when he says “other mediums.”

I’m fine with keeping these What If…? stories in animated form. I’m enjoying it, and I personally don’t think that any of these What If…? storylines are going to bleed into the live-action MCU side of things. After all, they are “What If…?” stories.
