Marvel Studios Producer Says X-MEN Introductions Are Still in “Early, Early Days” of Development

One day the X-Men characters will make their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has slowly been building up the whole mutant aspect of the universe, and the way they are doing it has a lot of fans rolling their eyes. But, what we’re all waiting for is to see the return of some of the major X-Men characters.

Marvel Studios’ VP of Production and Development Nate Moore did offer a little update on what is going on with that while appearing on Deadline’s Crew Call podcast.

When asked about any upcoming projects that he might be excited about, if there were any superheroes he would like to bring to the screen, Moore brought up the X-Men saying: “There’s no secret the X-Men are coming home, if you talk Storm and Bishop, they’re two of the great characters in that franchise.” He then noted that they were still in the “early, early days” of development on that.

As of right now, there is no information on what exactly Marvel is planning. The one thing we do know that’s coming for sure that’s tied to the X-Men is Deadpool 3, which will bring back Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

There was also the introduction of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but that was short-lived.

In the end, I think it’s going to be years before Marvel is going to be doing anything with the main X-Men roster. We’re all just going to have to be patient.
