Marvel Unleashes the First Full Trailer For THE DEFENDERS!
"The war for New York is here. So get your shit together."
Here's a trailer that I wasn't expecting to see today! Marvel has released the first full trailer for The Defenders and it looks awesome! It's so cool to see these superheroes come together and fight alongside each other.
Most of the trailer sets up the story and we see the team members all meeting each other for the first time. That team consists of Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist (Finn Jones). They are all brought together by Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) and Stick (Scott Glenn) to defend New York against The Hand, and a mysterious new villain, Alexandra, played by Sigourney Weaver, who comes off as being wonderfully menacing. She is out to break The Defenders.
One of my favorite aspects of the trailer was seeing Iron Fist and Luke Cage meeting for the first time because I love what their relationship is like in the comics. I'm excited to see that explored in the series. We also get a little taste of the superhero team fighting together at the end of the trailer.
Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. The rest of the cast includes Elodie Yung (Elektra), Scott Glenn (Stick), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing).
