Marvel Wants DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Finale in Theaters Inspired by STRANGER THINGS Success

Marvel might be gearing up to give fans a whole new way to experience its streaming shows, and honestly, it sounds like a pretty awesome idea.

According to Marvel Studios Television boss Brad Winderbaum, there’s real interest in bringing major Disney+ moments to theaters, similar to what Netflix has done with its biggest hits, and if this plan actually happens, it could start with one of Marvel’s most street-level heroes.

Winderbaum recently shared his excitement about the idea while talking about how studios are experimenting with blending streaming and theatrical releases.

Taking a page from Stranger Things, which saw major success with its theatrical rollout, Marvel is clearly paying attention to what works.

"I want to do that so bad," Winderbaum told The Escape Pod podcast when asked if he was interested in following in the footsteps of Netflix and Stranger Things by showing significant episodes in the multiplex. "Maybe we could do it for the finale of Daredevil… We gotta do it."

There’s a real business case here. The Stranger Things season 5 finale reportedly pulled in around $25 million during a limited theatrical run over New Year’s. Netflix also tested the waters by screening early episodes of One Piece Season 2 in theaters, showing that audiences are more than willing to show up for “event TV” on the big screen.

For Marvel, the obvious candidate is Daredevil: Born Again. The series is already delivering intense, character-driven storytelling, and season 2 is heating up fast.

With four episodes still left before the finale, things are spiraling in Hell’s Kitchen. A major twist in the latest episode has shaken up Wilson Fisk’s world.

Turning a finale into a theatrical event could give Marvel a fresh edge. It would make these shows feel even bigger while giving fans a reason to gather and experience those final moments together instead of watching solo at home.

As of now, nothing is locked in, but the idea is definitely on the table, and if Marvel actually pulls the trigger on this, seeing Daredevil throw down on a giant screen with a packed crowd might be one of the coolest MCU experiences outside of a traditional movie.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 continues to roll out weekly on Disney+.
