Marvel's DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Will Reportedly Introduce White Tiger as a Major Character

There’s been a lot of talk online recently about Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again series, and that it will introduce the totem-wielding vigilante named White Tiger to the MCU. This rumor is being reported by Daniel Richtman, whose insider reports are always solid.

Not only does he say that White Tiger will be in the show, but the character will also have a major role to play in the story. White Tiger is a name that’s been passed down between characters.

The most recent version of the character is Ava Ayala, the younger sister of Hector Ayala, who was the original White Tiger, and the aunt of the former White Tiger (Angela Del Toro). In the comics, she is an Avengers Academy graduate and the current wielder of the mystical Jade Tiger Amulet.

The Tiger Totem enhances Ayala endurance, speed, agility, and dexterity. The Tiger Totem's mystical properties can sometimes become vastly overwhelming, augmenting Ava's strength and causing her to become highly volatile or feral. Ava also possesses exceptional combat prowess, complimented by claws built into the gloves of her costume.

If this is true, it will be interesting to see how the creative team incorporates her into the story. Charlie Cox will be back as Matt Murdoch, aka Daredevil, and when teasing what we can expect from the series he said:

"What's great about that is that we potentially get to tell some of the stories over and over again in the same way that they do in the comics, you know. Every now and again, they start back at the beginning of Murdock's journey as a little boy and they tell the whole origin story again. So maybe we'll get to do that, I don't know.

"It is a Season 1, it is not Season 4, so it is a whole new thing. Which I think is the way to go. If you are going to do it again, do it differently."

The series is expected to drop in the spring of 2024. What do you think about the possibility of seeing White Tiger in Daredevil: Born Again?
