Marvel's DAREDEVIL Season 3 Confirmed To Premiere This Year in 2018
A lot of fans didn't expect to see Marvel's Daredevil Season 3 premiere on Netflix until 2019. With the second seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage already having been released this year and Iron Fist coming this Fall, it seemed like maybe Marvel and Netflix would save Daredevil Season 3 for the new year. But apparently that's not the case!
Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has confirmed that Daredevil Season 3 will hit the streaming service before the year is out! While talking about the series being released before the end of 2018, he said:
"In the short term, we've got new seasons coming up, in the second half of this year, of Orange is the New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, the follow-up series to Making a Murderer."
So, that's good news! We won't have to wait much longer to see Daredevil's story continue! We don't know the exact premiere date, but it's definitely coming in 2018. With Iron Fist Season 2 being released on September 7th, I imagine Daredevil won't be released until November or December.
We know this next chapter of the story is inspired by Frank Miller's 1980 Born Again storyline from the comics. Charlie Cox will return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Vincent D’Onofrio will be back as Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin.
Newcomers to the series include Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) possibly as Bullseye and Joanne Whalley (The Borgias, Gossip Girl, Wolf Hall) as Sister Maggie, who is Daredevil’s mother. She is the one who nurses Matt Murdock back to health.
