Marvel's ECHO Synopsis Reveals Maya Lopez Is Taking Over Kingpin's Criminal Empire
A new synopsis has been released by Marvel for the upcoming Echo series, which has been pushed back from November to January. Marvel submitted the official rundown for the show to the United States Copyright Office (via CB), and in it, it's revealed that Echo has officially taken over Wilson Fisk/Kingpin's (Vincent D'Onofrio) criminal empire.
The synopsis reads:
"Marvel Studios presents Echo in which Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) struggles to reconnect with her Native American roots while balancing aspirations tied to a life of crime as successor to the brutal legacy of Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) aka Kingpin. In the first episode we are introduced to Maya Lopez and her struggles."
The synopsis also teases just how large Kingpin's role in the series is, with D'Onofrio receiving second billing behind star of the series, Alaqua Cox.
