Marvel’s First Full AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Trailer Reportedly Dropping During the Super Bowl

Marvel Studios has been playing an interesting marketing game with Avengers: Doomsday, and I think it’s been a big mess of a thing, especially with all the leaks. Maybe that’s what Marvel wants, though?

Instead of dropping one big trailer early, the studio has spent December rolling out a series of tightly focused, one minute teasers that keep the conversation rolling. By next weekend, we’ll have seen four of them, each spotlighting a different corner of the movie.

The first teaser officially confirmed Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers. The second hinted at a much heavier, more serious Thor. The most recent reveal cracked the door open on the X-Men, with Professor X, Magneto, and Cyclops. What Marvel still hasn’t delivered, though, is the traditional, full blown trailer fans are waiting for.

It would’ve been easy to attach that trailer to Avatar: Fire and Ash earlier this month. That would’ve given fans a few days to tear it apart before attention shifted to the expected Spider-Man: Brand New Day tease. Instead, the leaks combined with the timed official drops have kept Avengers: Doomsday front and center for almost all of December.

Now there’s finally some clarity on when the real trailer is coming. According to TrailerTrack, Marvel is planning to debut the first full Avengers: Doomsday trailer during Super Bowl LX on February 8.

They describe the drop as a “massive event,” and history backs that up. Marvel has used the Super Bowl stage before for Avengers movies, and the reach of that audience makes it one of the smartest ways to grab casual viewers while setting fandoms on fire online.

There’s also a strong chance Marvel is saving its biggest reveal for that moment. Doctor Doom is going to be the Multiverse Saga’s new major threat, and right now, there’s no indication he’ll appear in the final short tease arriving next weekend. Holding that card for the Super Bowl trailer makes a lot of sense.

Avengers: Doomsday brings together an absolutely loaded cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. are all confirmed.

Making their Avengers franchise debuts are Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are on board, joined by X-Men icons Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden, plus Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

Evans is also officially back as Steve Rogers, and India Rose Hemsworth will appear as Love. Trade reports have also confirmed Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

Directing duties are handled by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, working from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with additional writing from Michael Waldron.

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027. With a Super Bowl trailer reportedly on the way, Marvel’s biggest movie yet is about to kick its hype machine into another gear.
