Marvel's HELSTROM Cancelled at Hulu After One Season and No One Is Surprised

We all saw this coming. A few days after Disney announced plans for a bunch of new Marvel series for Disney+, the live-action Marvel series Helstrom has been cancelled at Hulu after one season. I don’t think anyone thought this series would see a Season 2.

Marvel Studios has much bigger plans in store for Marvel TV, and Helstrom does not fit into their plans. I don’t think anyone will miss the show, though, I really wasn’t that good or very interesting.

The story followed Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), “as the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, in their complicated dynamic as they track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills.”

Marvel and Hulu still have two animated shows that will still be released including M.O.D.O.K. and Hit Monkey. I imagine they won’t last more than one season either. But, we’ll just have to wait and see.
