Marvel's Kevin Feige Addresses That VENOM 2 Post-Credits Scene
If you watched Venom: Let There Be Carnage, then you know about the big post-post credits scene. If you haven’t wanted the movie yet, then you might want to skip this post, because we are diving into the details.
In the post-credit scene, Venom and the MCU collide. Venom and Eddie are relaxing in a hotel in Mexico and as they’re talking, there’s a flash of light the hotel room changes and J. Jonah Jamison is on TV talking about the Spider-Man menace and Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is shown. Venom quickly becomes infatuated with Peter as he licks the TV screen.
This opened the door for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to come face to face with Tom Hardy’s Venom. I’ve been curious to know what kind of involvement Marvel Studios has with all of this, and it turns out that there was a lot of coordination between the two parties to make this happen.
During an interview with THR, Kevin Feige addressed the post-credits scene saying, "There was a lot of coordination — and if you don't know all the coordination yet, I'm not going to be the one to tell you — but yes, between Sony and Marvel and the Venom team and the No Way Home team. We worked together on it."
Marvel and Sony have an interesting relationship with each other thanks to Spider-Man. That relationship is coming to an end soon, and It’ll be interesting to see how things go once Sony goes solo with Spider-Man again. I hope that the relationship has been extended beyond the current agreement, but we’ll have to wait and see.
In the meantime, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Venom show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’ll be interesting to see how Marvel handles the character of Venom, if that’s the case.
