Marvel's LUKE CAGE Gets a Fantastic Fan-Made Opening Title Sequence

Judging from the first trailer that was released and the additional footage that was screened at Comic-Con last month, Marvel's Luke Cage looks like it's going to be an incredible series. While we wait to see more footage from it, a fan named Efe Balun has created a powerful opening title sequence for the series. He explained his concept for the opening:

One of the first black superhero in the history of comics and also my personal favorite.

My first concept was to animate various paintings of Jacob Lawrence and Frank Morrison to create an animated canvas. Then it shifts to "power in the eye" idea. I imagine, each episode showcase different figures from long list of real heroes from black history to represent power inside the Power Man - Luke Cage.

Watch the video below and let us know what you think about his concept! Luke Cage is set to be released on Netflix on September 30th, 2016.

My take on an opening titles for the upcoming Netflix Series: Luke Cage. One of the first black superhero in the history of comics and also my personal favorite. My first concept was to animate various paintings of Jacob Lawrence and Frank Morrison to create an animated canvas.
