Marvel's SHE-HULK Series Will Be Written By RICK AND MORTY Writer Jessica Gao

Marvel Studios has hired Rick and Morty and Silicon Valley writer Jessica Gao to write She-Hulk for their Disney+ series.

Little is known about the series or what story it will tell, but She-Hulk is such a great and complicated character and I’m happy that she’s going to be getting her own series. I imagine this will all lead to her big screen debut in the MCU as well.

One of the things I love about Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk is that her comic series told some great stories that dealt with the psychological trauma that superheroes suffer. I hope that the series ends up exploring that aspect of her stories.

In the comics, Walters is shot by mobsters, and her cousin Bruce Banner saved her life by giving her a last-minute blood transfusion of his own irradiated blood. From that point on Jennifer Walters was able to transform into the Sensational She-Hulk.

I’m happy to see that the series got a fun writer that has worked on shows that I’ve enjoyed watching.
