An interesting bit of information has surfaced regarding Marvel’s She-Hulk series. A lot of fans assume that Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner in the series because the main character, Jennifer Walters, is his cousin, who inherits his Hulk powers after she receives a blood transfusion from him.

Well, according to The Direct, the series is currently looking for a young actor to play a much younger version of Bruce Banner. The studio is reportedly looking to cast a 10-year-old actor to play Banner as a child.

If this is true, it suggests that we are going to see some flashback scenes giving audiences a glimpse at the kind of relationship that Banner had with his cousin when they were growing up together, long before they were exposed to the gamma radiation that hulked them out.

It also indicates that Ruffalo could have a pretty substantial role in the series and that the story could explore his relationship with his abusive father.

We recently learned that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany will be taking on the lead role of Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, so we should expect more casting updates in the near future.

Kat Coiro is set to helm the pilot along with several other episodes. She will also serve as an executive producer. Rick and Morty writer Jessica Gao leads the writer’s room for the series. Coiro has worked on several well-known shows in her career including Netflix’s Dead To Me, Showtime’s Shameless, and FX’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. She also directed Life Happens and the upcoming film Marry Me starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson.
