Marvel's THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Is Not Coming to Disney+ in August

Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was supposed to be released this August, which is next month. Disney never announced a release date change, but it doesn’t look like the highly anticipated show is coming in August.

Disney+ recently shared a list of movies and TV shows coming to the streaming service in August and The Falcon and Winter Solider was not on that list. There’s still work to do on the show and due to the production being shut down for the past few months, they weren’t able to finish it in time. While this is a big bummer for fans, it was expected.

Anthony Mackie is back as Sam Wilson/Falcon with Sebastian Stan as Bucky, and the mismatched pair of military vets and former partners of Captain America “team up for a global adventure that will test their survival skills — as well as their patience.”

Emily VanCamp reprises the role of Sharon Carter, Wyatt Russell will take on the role of Captain America/U.S., and Daniel Brühl (The Alienist) is back as the scheming mastermind Baron Zemo. It’s rumored that he might be involved with some sort of massive viral threat. It’s been speculated that this viral threat could come from Virus X, the Madbomb, or something else that will put the population in grave danger.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is directed by Kari Skogland, and Malcolm Spellman is the head writer.

As of right now, there’s no word on when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will end up hitting Disney+.
