Marvel's THUNDERBOLTS Director and Cast Members Tease What's Coming
This weekend at D23 Expo, Marvel announced the official lineup of characters that will appear in the upcoming Thunderbolts movie.
The team consists of Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, Julie Louis-Dreyfus’ Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell’s US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster, and of course, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. The surprise addition to the group is David Harbour’s Red Guardian.
This was a big and exciting reveal, and for the most part fans seemed pretty excited about it! The movie is being helmed by Jake Schreier, and Marvel caught up with him, Harbour, and John-Kamen after the presentation.
The filmmaker teased what’s coming, saying: "I obviously feel incredibly lucky to even have a cast like this, and to get characters that have such richness and depth and to see what happens when they square off.” Harbour then chimed in, saying, "They might lose," to which Schreier replied, "Yeah, success is not guaranteed."
John-Kamen went on to say: "It's actually going to be really nice to play the kind of painless strengths of Ghost and see where that takes her." Harbour then added that he was told he was going to get a new suit in Thunderbolts, which he’s totally “psyched” about!
Harbour went on to say: "You watch that Captain America and you see him in all these different movies, with the white star, the black star... I just want a full closet of suits, so I'm well on my way."
We don’t know much else about Thunderbolts, but I’m excited to see how it turns out! The movie is set to premiere on July 26, 2023.
