Marvel's WANDAVISION Will Have a Two-Episode Premiere on Disney+
Disney+ has announced that Marvel’s WandaVision series will have a two-episode premiere. In a press release they said:
"The first 2 episodes will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, January 15. Episode 3 will debut on Friday, January 22."
That’s cool! At least we will get kind of a feature film length kick-off for the series before it moves to one episode a week. WandaVision is the first Marvel project that fans will get to see since Spider-Man: Far From Home in 2019. It’s been over a year! With the amount of Marvel projects in the pipeline, I don’t think we’ll ever see a lengthy gap between Marvel projects like that again.
Marvel Studios’ WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
Olsen and Paul Bettany will be joined by Teyonah Parris as the grown-up version of Monica Rambeau, Karthryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, Kat Dennings reprising her role as Darcy Lewis, and Randall Park returning as FBI Agent Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The series is being developed by Jac Schaeffer (Captain Marvel), who is also serving as the series’ producer, showrunner, and head writer. Director Matt Shakman is helming episodes of the show.
