M.A.S.K. Returns With Classic Packaging and Nostalgic Power for 40th Anniversary

M.A.S.K. is roaring back into action, and it’s doing so with its vintage nostalgic charm fully intact.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, The Loyal Subjects has teamed up with Hasbro to bring M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) back to toy shelves, and the first wave is locked and loaded with some of the franchise’s most iconic vehicles.

What’s cool, is that the packaging leans hard into the original '80s aesthetic, capturing that radical, nostalgic vibe fans grew up with.

Wave One includes four vehicles with the Thunderhawk, Mobile Defense Unit (MDU), High Tech Helicopter, and Condor, each bundled with its respective driver, including Matt Trakker.

Starting with the Thunderhawk, longtime fans will recognize its signature red sports car form, now with slick purple and yellow accents. And just like the animated series, this bad boy still transforms into a fighter jet, complete with gull-wing doors. It also comes with a new version of Matt Trakker, kitted out in a suit variant exclusive to this release.

Next up is the Mobile Defense Unit, a full-on mobile command center crammed into a heavy-duty truck. This set comes with a missile launcher, battering ram, trailer, and a smaller vehicle. You also get two figures: Matt Trakker (in a different battle suit) and Bruce Sato, plus their accessories. This one’s perfect for building out your M.A.S.K. team straight out of the gate.

Next up is the High Tech Helicopter, piloted by none other than Miles Mayhem himself. He comes with two helmets, and the chopper is capable of transforming into airplane mode and firing a missile for added firepower.

Last but not least is the Condor, the lime green motorcycle that can turn into a helicopter. It includes Brad Turner, and the sleek black accents on the bike give it an extra cool factor whether it’s grounded or airborne.

“Throughout the mid-80s, the M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) television series wowed audiences with 75 action-packed episodes following the namesake special task force led by Matt Tracker as it battled V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem). The Loyal Subjects and Hasbro are celebrating the 40th anniversary of M.A.S.K. with a collectible toy line that captures everything that made M.A.S.K. such a legendary, pop culture-defining franchise.”

Jonathan Cathey, CEO and Founder of The Loyal Subjects, added:

“We’re so pumped to finally reveal our initial M.A.S.K. collection! We’ve put a lot of love into making sure these toys stay true to the original while bringing that classic magic into the modern day. Fans are going to love the attention to detail and high quality, including the conversions to battle modes!”

Pre-orders go live July 1st on BigBadToyStore, with expanded availability in the U.S. and internationally starting September 2nd.
