Matt Damon and Casey Affleck to Star in Heist Movie THE INSTIGATORS at Apple With Doug Liman Directing
Oscar-winners Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting, The Martian) and Casey Affleck (The Assassination of Jesse James, Manchester By the Sea) are re-teaming to star in a new heist flick titled The Instigators, with Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow) on board to direct. The pair were previously in Good Will Hunting together, as well as the Ocean’s Eleven movies.
The film, which is being developed at Apple, follows two thieves who must go on the run with the help of one of their therapists after a robbery goes awry. The script was penned by Chuck MacLean and was developed by Jeff Robinov and John Graham, who are also producing, and Casey Affleck.
The project joins the slate behind Ben Affleck and Damon’s newly formed studio Artists Equity, which partners with filmmakers to empower creative vision and broaden access to profit participation.
This sounds like it will be a great movie with this talent on board. I look forward to hearing more about it, and seeing it when it’s released.
